Course Overview:

The rise of noninvasive procedures has shifted the aesthetic culture. Patients now are asking for less invasive, less painful, less expensive procedures with short recovery times. Thread-lifts are one of the newest approaches to nonsurgical facial lifting & tightening.

It is an easy, fast, in-office procedure in which absorbable barbed or unbarbed suture thread is inserted into the skin through a very small incision, for the purpose of full-face rejuvenation & lifting. The latest techniques can even provide lifting for nose region, rejuvenation of the under-eye area, as well as the correction of the lip border lines.

Similar to fillers that provide a “liquid face-lift,” the downtime is minimal. Doctors, dentists and nurses can successfully grow their aesthetic practice by incorporating face thread lifting to their everyday patients.

The cost of thread lifting procedure costs an average 1,500 - 10,000 USD ( Estimated 2,000 AUD for eyebrow lifting to to 11,000 AUD for full face and neck lifting) and can easily be incorporated with your other aesthetic offerings in the practice. The cost to incorporate thread lifting within your practice is relatively small as it is heavily technique based procedure. With high patient satisfaction and the relatively low cost of face threads, practitioners are presented with a valuable opportunity to maximise their profit potential.

Full-Day Training Programme on Face Thread Lifts and Rejuvenation with Hands-On Practice through live models (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

Objective: This program balances theoretical knowledge with extensive hands-on training on live models, giving participants skills they need to perform facial thread lifts confidently.

Morning Session: 9:00 AM - 12: 00 PM

9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Evolution and Types of Facial Threads

• Introduction to Facial Threads:

  • History of thread lifting and development of thread materials (PDO, PLLA, PCL threads)

• Types of Facial Threads:

  • Mono threads, cog threads, screw threads

  • Barbed vs. smooth threads and their unique applications

• Indications and Contraindications: Case studies on which thread types are best suited for specific facial areas.

• Demonstration: Displaying thread materials and application areas.

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: The Art of Aesthetics, Patient Selection, and Facial Anatomy

• Understanding Facial Aesthetics: Achieving facial harmony and balance

  • Key facial contours (mid-face, jawline, neck) and their influence on aesthetics

• Patient Selection:

  • How to assess candidates for thread lifts based on age, skin type, and laxity

  • Psychological aspects: Managing patient expectations

• Facial Laxity and Thread Placement:

  • Using the laxity scale to determine appropriate thread lift methods

• Demonstration: Live assessment of patient models for thread lift suitability.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Thread Lift Techniques and Skin Rejuvenation

• Thread Lift Techniques:

  • Mid-face, lower face, jowls, neck, eyebrows, and nose thread lifts

• Reducing Wrinkles and Signs of Ageing:

  • Collagen stimulation through threads and its impact on rejuvenation

  • Post-procedure care to enhance results

• Demonstration: Explanation of techniques for different facial areas on a model.

Afternoon Session: Hands-On Training with Live Models (1:00 PM - 6:00 PM)

1:00 PM - 2:30 PM: Hands-On Practice – Mid-Face and Lower Face Thread Lift

• Hands-On Training: Participants will work in small groups under the supervision of experienced trainers.

  • Mid-Face Thread Lift: Demonstrating the placement of threads to lift cheeks and restore mid-face volume.

  • Lower Face & Jowls Thread Lift: Techniques for tightening the jawline and reducing jowls.

• Supervised Practice: Participants practise on live models with guidance on correct thread placement, entry points, and depth.

• Feedback and Correction: Trainers provide real-time feedback to ensure proper technique.

2:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Hands-On Practice – Neck and Eyebrow Thread Lift

• Neck Thread Lift:

  • How to achieve a tighter, more defined neck using thread lifts

  • Techniques for avoiding common complications in the neck region

• Eyebrow Thread Lift:

  • Lifting the brow for a more youthful appearance

  • Considerations for achieving symmetry and natural results

• Supervised Practice: Participants perform thread lifts on live models under trainer supervision.

4:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Hands-On Practice – Nose Threads and Skin Rejuvenation

• Nose Threads:

  • Non-surgical rhinoplasty using threads to enhance nose definition and bridge height

  • Avoiding complications in sensitive areas like the nose

• Skin Rejuvenation:

  • Techniques for reducing wrinkles, improving elasticity, and stimulating collagen with threads

• Supervised Practice: Participants practise nose thread lifts and rejuvenation techniques on live models.

• Individualised Feedback: Trainers guide participants through different nose shapes and facial concerns.

5:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Q&A and Final Remarks

• Q&A Session: Final open-floor Q&A session to address any remaining questions.

• Review and Summary: Trainers summarise the key takeaways from the hands-on training.
