Combining Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) with Lifting Cog Threads for Optimised Lifting Results - Video

In any cosmetic procedure, patients and doctors alike, seek for a safer, quicker and more effective technique. By combining the use of lifting threads with Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP), it is possible to deliver consistent results that are more natural and highly effective whilst improving recovery rate and avoiding risks of transmissible infections and other diseases.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a concentration of separated platelet from a blood sample of a patient using a centrifuge: and because the product is derived from the patient’s own blood, it avoids the risks of transmissible infections, effects of allergy and/or other diseases.

In addition, the use of PRP not only offers a natural lasting effect while increasing the synergy effects when combined with other medical procedures, it also helps in inflammation reduction and improved recovery rate with no negative effect on daily life after the procedure; although mild swelling over the next 24-48 hours may be expected.

Cog Threads

Cog threads are threads with barbs along them in a 360-degree direction; this means that these threads are multidirectional with barbs pointed in all directions; thus ensuring that they are able to “cling” onto the tissues after insertion to form a support structure for better lifting.

The multidirectional nature of these barbs also ensures a firm grasp on the tissues so that the threads stay only in the required skin layer of the desired area without any anchoring points, thus, minimising the risks of thread contouring, prolapse, skin deformation, as well as injury to nerves and blood vessels amongst the many other benefits. This makes the use of cog threads highly effective for Minimally-Invasive Non-Surgical procedures.

This week, our IFAAS faculty, demonstrates the exclusive technique of Combining Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) with Lifting Cog Threads to not only deliver optimised lifting results and effects that are superior to some of the other existing techniques in the field, but also reduces down-time and improving overall patient satisfaction.
